I don't know what I want for Christmas?
For the past 3 Christmases, when money was a little tighter, my fiancee did fine with my gifts. He got me frames for my photography, art supplies, and fabric for making a quilt. I was thrilled with my gifts, as I'm very artsy and love doing crafts and sewing. I'm not one who expects or even really wants expensive gifts. Just a thoughtful one will do, but he feels bad that he didn't spend a lot the past few years.
This year, he's been promoted at work, and is making quite a bit more money. He enlisted the help of my mom to help pick me out a expensive gift (I know because my mom has been asking me what I'd like). I told her a large leather keychain so I could easily find my car keys in my purse. She said he had way more to spend. I even suggested then that they go look at Coach, and she said even that was too little. The thing is, I don't really want/need anything. All my electronics (ipod/phone/laptop/camera) are in great condition, I barely wear the jewelry I already have, I have enough clothes/shoes/purses and there just isn't room for kitchen stuff in our apartment. Besides a keychain (which I would really like), I don't know what else to tell her? And he doesn't know she's been asking me, so I can't sit down and tell him I don't really want or need anything expensive, although I appreciate the thought. What to do? Or maybe some suggestions of things to ask for I never thought I needed? Lol, I know he wants to do this because it'll make him feel good to get me something really nice, but I really don't know what to suggest.
